Theo du Preez
Theo studied Forestry at the Saasveld Forestry College in George and thereafter accepted a severance package from Cape Nature Conservation. Theo and Ina du Preez decided to embrace their entrepreneurial skills and started the Cafe Dulce Continental Coffee shop in George and went on to win several Franchisee of the year awards. The coffee shop was sold in October 2005 and the journey to Sewing Suid-Kaap began.

INA du Preez
Ina studied nursing in Pretoria and qualified as a nursing sister at the Pietersburg hospital where she furthered her studies and qualified as a theatre sister. She joined Theo in a new business venture when they moved from Alexandria, Eastern Cape to George. The business, Cafe Dulce Continental Coffee shop won several Franchisee of the year awards. After the business was sold in 2005 Ina and Theo open Singer George, which later became Sewing Suid-Kaap.

JAMES SHACKLETON
James started his career in the sewing industry in 1996 after having completed all the technical courses and offered a post at ELNA head office where he worked for 5 years. After deciding to relocate to George he opened an Elna dealership. James’ connections and experience within the sewing industry is invaluable. James decided to join forces with Theo and Ina and joined Sewing Suid-Kaap in 2013 took the business to the next successful level.
